How to launch a token on BSC in 2026, in short: deploy a BEP-20 contract, verify it on BscScan, pass the scanners buyers use, add a PancakeSwap pool, lock the liquidity, then apply to trackers. On 23 October 2026 the gas for deploying and pooling cost about $0.17; optional fees, audit and listing add $0 to about $3,500, before liquidity and marketing. For the same process on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and Solana, see our token launch guide with deployment costs by chain.
Checked on 23 October 2026, BNB at $745.06 on CoinGecko: prices from each provider’s own page, gas from real BNB Smart Chain transactions.
– A plain BEP-20 deployment we read on-chain used 1,027,195 gas at 0.05 gwei, or 0.0000514 BNB, about $0.04.
– Creating a PancakeSwap V2 pool and adding liquidity used 3,463,837 gas, about $0.13. PancakeSwap publishes no pool creation fee.
– CoinGecko lists for free, or reviews within 24 hours for a $1,000 Fast Pass that does not guarantee approval.
– Only 1.7% of tokens launched in 2024 were actively traded in a later 30-day window, according to Chainalysis.
– The same day we checked, a token added 5.94 BNB of liquidity and pulled it out 10 seconds later.
What you need before you start
You need a wallet, a small amount of BNB, a decided token design and a public home for the project before the contract exists. Changing supply, tax or ownership after launch either needs special functions, which scanners flag, or a new contract.
– A self-custody wallet such as MetaMask added to BNB Smart Chain (chain ID 56), with test BNB on the testnet for a dry run
– About 0.01 BNB for gas and the amount of BNB you plan to pair in the pool
– Name, symbol, total supply, decimals, and a written answer on tax, minting and ownership
– A website on your own domain: CoinGecko rejects sites on builders such as Wix
– A short white paper or token page that explains supply and allocation
– A legal view on whether the token is a security where you sell it
Launching a token on BNB Chain: the contract is the cheap part. Flexe.io handles exchange and tracker listings and the launch campaign around them, so the first buyers are people, not bots.
What it costs from contract to first trade
The mandatory on-chain cost is under $1; everything else is optional, and the optional lines decide whether buyers trust the token. The table lists each line with its own source. USD figures use $745.06 per BNB from CoinGecko on 23 October 2026.

The liquidity you deposit is not a fee, but it is the largest number on most launches. It sets the starting price and how far one buyer can move it. In a small pool, one purchase can double the price and one sale can halve it, which is what bots look for.
How to launch a token on BSC in seven steps
For how to launch a token on BSC, order beats any single tool. Most tutorials on how to launch a BSC token end at deployment, which is step one of seven. Each step says what buyers or trackers check, so a missed step shows to them first.
Step 1: Create the contract with a generator or your own code
There are two ways to create your own token on BSC: a generator or your own Solidity contract. Generators deploy a template in minutes; smartcontracts.tools charges 0.2 BNB for its standard token and 0.5 BNB for taxable ones. Custom code, usually built on OpenZeppelin’s ERC-20 and deployed from Remix or Hardhat, costs only gas but needs someone who can read it.
A generator is fine for a plain fixed-supply token. Features such as minting, adjustable tax, blacklists or anti-whale limits are exactly what security scanners flag, whoever wrote the code. Pick only the functions the project will use in its first year, because each extra owner power is a reason for a buyer to walk away.
Step 2: Verify and publish the source on BscScan
Verify the contract on BscScan the same day you deploy it. The verification form is free and asks for the compiler version, optimisation settings and source, flattened or as standard JSON input. Automated verification from Hardhat or Foundry now runs through the Etherscan V2 API, and its free tier did not cover BSC when we tested on 23 October 2026.
Verification is not cosmetic. GoPlus, the security data behind many wallets and trackers, says closed-source contracts “may hide various unknown mechanisms”, and when a contract is closed-source its other risk checks return no result. Buyers read an unverified token as unknown at best and dangerous at worst.
Step 3: Run the scanners your buyers will run
Run the token through GoPlus, Token Sniffer and a honeypot checker before anyone else does. The GoPlus token security fields cover honeypot status, mint functions, a hidden owner, an owner who can change balances, proxy contracts, blacklists, and buy or sell tax that the owner can modify. Token Sniffer scores tokens out of 100 and wants at least 95% of liquidity locked or burned.
Scanners also get it wrong. On 22 October 2025 a developer on r/BNBChainOfficial complained that one popular tool was “falsely labeling renounced and fully safe contracts as honeypots” while GoPlus reported no honeypot. Screenshot clean results from several scanners at launch as evidence.
Step 4: Add liquidity on PancakeSwap
Create the pool by pairing your token with BNB or a stablecoin in PancakeSwap’s liquidity interface. V2 pools charge traders a flat 0.25%, of which 0.17% goes to liquidity providers. V3 offers fee tiers of 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.25% and 1%, but PancakeSwap’s documentation says V3 and Infinity pools do not support tokens with a transfer tax. A V3 position whose range no longer covers the price is inactive and provides no liquidity.
The first deposit sets the price: the ratio of tokens to BNB you put in is the market until someone trades. PancakeSwap no longer accepts requests to add tokens to its default list, so buyers find a new token by its contract address. Publish that address on your site and social accounts before the pool goes live, or copycat tokens will take the first searches.
Step 5: Lock the liquidity and decide on ownership
Lock the LP tokens you received from PancakeSwap in a public locker, or burn them, before announcing the pool. PinkLock is free, Team Finance charges 150 USD per lock and UNCX takes 0.25 BNB plus 4% of the fees the locked position collects.
The cost of skipping this is easy to see on-chain. On 23 October 2026, a token called ZORSE was deployed, received 5.94 BNB of liquidity at 16:16:21 Moscow time and had it removed through the PancakeSwap router at 16:16:31. Renouncing ownership is a separate decision: it removes the owner’s powers, but also the ability to fix a bug, so renounce only a finished contract.
Step 6: List on CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap
Apply to trackers only after the pool trades. CoinGecko says a token with no active trading on a tracked exchange “will automatically fail”, unless you file a Preview Listing, and its methodology warns that projects traded only on self-serviceable exchanges may be rejected. CoinMarketCap’s DEXScan already tracks DEX tokens automatically, and a verified page needs “material volume” under its listing criteria.
CoinGecko reviews take about five days, or 24 hours with the 1,000 USD Fast Pass, and its dashboard shows the request status. Both trackers check a site on your own domain, the contract address on official pages and a confirmation post from the project’s account. Our CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap listing guide covers the forms field by field.
Step 7: Start marketing before the first trade
A pool that goes live with no community, no announcement and no explanation of the token gets bots first and people later, if at all. Announce the pool date and contract address publicly before the pool opens. Our token launch timeline shows which channels need months and which need days.
For the launch itself, we plan crypto PR across 790+ crypto and finance outlets and creators from a database of 11,859 crypto KOLs on X and 11,695 YouTube creators, checked for bought followers. Across 150 campaigns in our research benchmark, the median net return was 2.8x within 90 days, with a 12% failure rate. None of that is a promise about price.

Mistakes that cost the most
The expensive mistakes are the ones buyers can see on-chain, because they cannot be fixed with a post. Teams that launch BSC token pools in a hurry repeat them. Each item below has cost a project its first week of trading.
– Liquidity that is not locked, which lets the deployer remove the pool, as the ZORSE case showed in 10 seconds
– An unverified contract, which leaves GoPlus checks empty and wallets showing warnings
– A buy or sell tax the owner can raise later, flagged as a modifiable tax
– A mint function kept “just in case” on a token with a fixed supply story
– Applying to CoinGecko before the token trades, which fails automatically
– Launching with a pool too small for the first buyer, so one bot sets the price
How to check you did it right
Check the launch from a buyer’s side, with a wallet that did not deploy the token; most advice on how to launch BSC token projects skips this. Buy a small amount, then sell it, and compare the received amounts with the tax you published. A failed sell is a honeypot whatever the code intended, and it is better found with 10 USD than with a community.
Then open the token on BscScan and look for the green verified tick on the contract tab, and confirm the holder list shows the lock contract, not your wallet, holding the LP tokens. Run GoPlus and Token Sniffer again after the pool exists, because buy and sell tax are only measured once the token trades on a DEX.
Finally, search the token name on PancakeSwap and on the trackers you applied to. If a copycat with the same name appears, post your contract address again from every official account.
When a BSC token launch is the wrong move
Launching your own BSC token is the wrong move when nobody is waiting to buy it. CoinGecko found that 53.2% of the roughly 20.2 million tokens tracked on GeckoTerminal had failed by the end of 2025, with 11.6 million failing in 2025 alone. A cheap contract is not a cheap launch.
It is also the wrong route when you need to raise money from buyers you do not have yet. A launchpad sale puts the token in front of an existing audience in exchange for its rules and fees; our IDO marketing service covers that route, and the launchpad comparison shows what four platforms publish. For a memecoin, the other common route is a fair launch token on BSC created through a bonding-curve launchpad such as four.meme, with its own odds of ever reaching PancakeSwap.
If you want a second opinion before you deploy, send the token idea, supply plan and target date to Flexe.io on Telegram. Within 24 hours we return a free token launch plan: the launch route that fits, the tracker listing steps and the first 30 days of marketing, before you spend more than the gas.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to create a BSC token?
The contract itself costs gas only: a deployment we read on 23 October 2026 paid 0.0000514 BNB, about $0.04. A no-code generator adds between nothing and 1 BNB, depending on features. Audit, KYC, a liquidity lock and paid tracker reviews are optional and range from free to about $3,500 together, not counting the liquidity you deposit.
How to create own token on BSC without coding?
Use a no-code generator. Tools such as smartcontracts.tools, CoinFactory and PinkSale deploy a standard BEP-20 contract from a form and a wallet signature. The trade-off is that every optional feature you tick, such as minting, tax or blacklists, appears in security scanners as an owner power. Choose the simplest template that fits the plan and verify the source afterwards.
How do I add liquidity for a BSC token on PancakeSwap?
Open PancakeSwap’s liquidity page, choose your token and BNB or a stablecoin, set the amounts and confirm the approval and deposit transactions. The ratio you deposit becomes the starting price. Use a V2 pool if the token has a transfer tax, because PancakeSwap says V3 and Infinity pools do not support those tokens. Lock the LP tokens straight after.
How do I avoid a honeypot flag on my token?
Verify the source code, avoid functions that block selling or let the owner change taxes and balances, and test a sell from a separate wallet before launch. GoPlus flags honeypots, modifiable tax, blacklists and hidden owners. Scanners can still produce false positives, so keep screenshots of clean results from several tools to show buyers and trackers.
How do I get a new BSC token listed on CoinGecko?
Wait until the token trades on a CoinGecko-tracked exchange such as PancakeSwap, then submit the request form with your own-domain website, contract address and a confirmation post from the official account. Without active trading the request fails automatically, and a token traded only on self-serve DEX pools may still be rejected. Reviews take about five days; a 1,000 USD Fast Pass shortens that to 24 hours without guaranteeing approval.
Is it legal to launch a BSC token?
Deploying a contract is not illegal in most countries, but selling or promoting the token can be regulated. A token marketed as an investment may be a security, and promotions to UK consumers fall under FCA financial promotion rules, while the EU applies MiCA to many crypto-assets. Get legal advice for the markets where you sell before any public sale.
